Terrarium

3D animation done in Unreal Engine 5

This personal research project showcases my dedication to enhancing my proficiency in 
hard-surface modeling, UV-mapping, shading, and look-dev techniques.

I spent a lot of time searching for references of terrarium. Ultimately, I decided to bring to life a combination of several terrariums. This project was started from doing a terrarium shell and a table in 3ds max and texture them in substance painter. Then I was searching for rocks but i did not find anything good so i decided to sculpt my desired ones in blender and then texture them in substance painter. When it comes to foliage, i did try to do it "by hand" as in the real life. Moss on the background i created by doing it in PCG. Water ripples were done in Blender but the "rain" from the top of the tank was done in Niagara. From the begging of this project, i thought that i will do it by using pathtracer which gave me a lot of troubles but finally i made it to the finish. I hope you enjoy this final outcome.
